Genesis Classical Academy

A new Private, non-denominational Christian, Classical School opened in September of 2015.  The Preschool through 6th grade school began with 29 students and continues to grow with the support of the community.  2017-2018 enrollment is 57 students.  Click on the title to learn more about Genesis Academy.

Southern Plains Education Cooperative(SPEC)

The Education Coop consolidated operations at the former Winnebago Elementary Building in September of 2015.  Click on the title to learn more about Southern Plains.  Their programs are varied and continue to grow.  The City and SPEC worked together to bring a School Resource Officer to the school.   The Community welcomes the staff and students with open arms and looks forward to many years of success.


Winnebago Public Elementary School


On April 13, 2015, The Blue Earth Area School Board voted to close the Winnebago Public Elementary School which was designated by the State of Minnesota as a "Reward School" and was widely recognized for academic excellence.
