Attention residents - Water service will be interrupted tomorrow 8/22 at 8:30am for necessary water valve repairs. The area affected will be on the West side of 169 and 2nd Ave SW and south. Water will be disconnected starting at 8:30 and continue for 5 or 6 hours. We will notify when service is restored. Please spread the word.

Winnebago Construction update - US 169 -
*Construction will begin Monday August 20th.
*According to MN DOT, US 169 will never be closed - lane restrictions and diversions will be in-place.
*Beginning Aug 20 and lasting approximately 7 days, 1 block(from 169/Main to 1st St West) of each 5th Ave SW, 4th Ave SW, 1st Ave SW and 1st Ave NW will be closed. This is to repair water valves and perform ADA sidewalk improvements. Closures are currently marked by signage and detours will be similarly marked. 1st St West to Cleveland Ave W is the main detour route. Please observe the signage.

Highway 169 construction from Winnebago to north of Blue Earth begins August 20

MANKATO, Minn. – Construction on a resurfacing project of Highway 169 from the north side of Winnebago to south of Faribault County Road 6 will begin Monday, August 20.

Construction will be done under traffic and no detour is anticipated. There will be lane restrictions controlled with flaggers and pilot cars. Motorists should use extra caution in the work zone.

The project is scheduled through October on the 7.6 miles of Highway 169 between Blue Earth and Winnebago, which includes resurfacing the roadway to provide a smoother ride, as well as sidewalk upgrades in Winnebago. Lighting is also being installed at the intersections of Highway 169 with County Road 6 and County Road 10.

Ulland Brothers, Inc., of Albert Lea, MN, was awarded the contract with a bid of $3,567,060.
